In his remarks, he criticized the Republican Party for actions he claimed undermine democratic norms, including attempts to manipulate the judiciary and politicize government institutions. āPluralism depends on everyone following a certain set of rules,ā Obama said. āWhat happens when the other side has repeatedly and abundantly made clear they are not interested in playing by the rules?ā
